Tips for Successful Affiliate Marketing Program

Tips for Successful Affiliate Marketing Program

    Advertising

So while you are on your way to launch an affiliate program for your business, you might want to consider integrating these tips in it. A little effort goes a long way when it comes to returns on investment regarding marketing affairs. So here are a few thoughts on the matter from the experts who have done it all and seen it all.

    Stay in touch

Stay in touch with your affiliates. Keep them updated with your products and offers and email them once in a while regarding your business. If you ignore your affiliates, they won’t remember you either.

Don’t partner with a single source

With Google constantly releasing its updates and Facebook changing its algorithms, it spells badly for some businesses. There are affiliates who wake and realize they will soon be out of running and they shut down. So don’t rely on a single source. Have multiple affiliates to battle the marketing ground for you.

    Make your website mobile friendly

Optimize your website for mobile and tablet platforms. In 2014, mobile devices accounted for 46% of affiliate clicks and 26% of total affiliate sales. With many users preferring cell phones for browsing the internet, if your site takes ages to load, no amount of marketing will help your business. Make sure your HTML website is compatible across platforms on all devices. Make sure it loads up fast. Check that your e-store works perfectly on mobile devices. Also optimize your site’s readability on cell phones. A good user experience will help you bag more sales.

    Offer more commission

With affiliates who are good at selling your products, there is little reason to not increase their earnings. This way, they will spend more time in advertising your products, bringing customers to your doorstep. You can offer them promotional deals on certain products, such as doubling their commission if they are able to make a product sell in a given time frame.

    Create a promotional calendar

For seasonal sales, most vendors offer discounts and deals. Let your affiliates know about your promotional offers beforehand so they can create a strategy too. Share your promotional calendar with them at the start of the year.

    Always be available

Affiliate marketing is something that runs on autopilot. Always be accessible to your affiliates 24/7. They will have important questions that you never considered. Or ideas that might be useful. Do not just entrust your marketing to the affiliates and forget about it.

    Bring in a professional

Sometimes, a fresh perspective can turn things around, can spice things up or even help get over hurdles you have been stuck at for quite some time. Hiring a specialist affiliate manager for a short period won’t hurt your business. He might give it a much needed boost.

    Track Results

You may have teamed up with a lot of affiliates. Track your results periodically and terminate agreements with the ones that are not delivering. Recruit other affiliates. Keep monitoring your status so you know where to invest your resources. That said, choose your affiliates carefully. You wouldn’t want your company advertised like it is some kind of spam. It is your reputation at stake too.
